Phuket Thailand 2016

Hello!

Its a sunny afternoon here in Singapore. Na miss ko ang summer ah. oo wala kasing winter dito so moved to summer season agad ako. :)

Lately I've been very busy job hunting, travel planning, backing up files, monitoring stocks, emailing my insurance agents, and everything else that needs internet.

Now i take a 'net break' and thought of blogging, (ay sus! internet parin!)by sharing here our #familytravels last April 2016, in the Land of Smiles, Phuket Thailand.

This trip was a sort of a breather for the demanding Q1 -2016 especially for us working individuals ( back when i was still employed). It all started when my sister sent me a photo of the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas. I find it interesting so I started googling about it, reviews and all, how recommended it was for a family, and while i kept browsing on the website's gallery, she lured me again that she was offered for a %50 discount for a 2 room villa and that she and her beau Jon will take care of the accommodation. All we have to do is to get our own flight tickets, why not?  Sounds great! So I jumped in. Searched for a flight and booked. Ganun kabilis! I was sold. Hay naku, ganun kami ka impulsive!

Anyway, it was all worth the hype and the brand.  The staffs were very polite, always smiling and very accommodating. I knew on the first day that it'll be very hard for us to leave! we were so pampered with their exceptional service!

Upon arriving at the airport, we were approached by a friendly staff, he took us to the hotel with a van. All four of us had warm towels, a bottle of mineral water, and some mint candies. In fairness dun palang naging kumportable na agad kami. (madali kami ma please :p ) When we reached Anantara resort, it made me feel more relaxed. From Japanese bamboos greeting you, to lily ponds and koi fishes at the hotel's reception, Basta it has a well maintained garden. It isn't a very huge property but i must say it looked great for family bonding. They have 3 in-house restaurants, Thai, Western, and a Pizzeria, a fitness gym, and a free bike rental. There were some amenities pa pala, like wall climbing, Basketball court and even Yoga classes ha?, a playground, yet another playroom for kids and dahil diyan, we left Miakka and her Ate Ethel there. As for me and Bry we went for some cycling action/workout just within the resort for a good 2 hours. At night we would go and stroll the beach for sunset, have dinner by the beach and get our Thai massage fix.

It was a free and easy trip. Binge, Swim, Massage, and Sleep. Binge Swim, Massage, and Sleep.

Miakka had a heavy heart leaving pa kasi nga nag enjoy siya talaga sa trip na to, may kiddie buffet siya everyday, she could swim anytime without schooling, and what  made her trip really memorable was when they set up a movie by the pool with complimentary popcorn! First time naming lahat maka experience ng ganun. Although I didn't let Miakka watch while swimming in the pool (hello, kase naman gabi na! pulmonya!) for some health precautions. So we stayed at our seats nalang.

Actually ako yata ang mas nag enjoy sa part na yun eh. I was trying to save that moment, keeping it to myself, as i sip my margarita, by the pool, watching my child getting so thrilled and so delighted with her once in a lifetime experience. It was another 'core memory' being carefully created happening right in front of my eyes! (remember, Disney's Inside Out movie? yes thats the peg). Seeing not only my child happy but everyone, including her yaya is such a rewarding experience. Worth every penny. We were all recharged. We really had a wonderful stay.

Special thanks to my sister Erika and her beau Jon for the treat: taking us there. To Miakka's yaya, her Ate Ethel, for taking care of Miakka while me and her dada are out and about. (Bry and I had a wonderful time together as vacationing kids again exploring and making time even just for a few hours a day, because naman, wala naman talagang vacation ang pagiging parental units diba.), to Miakka for not throwing any tantrums at all, and to Dada for your time. Above all, I thank the Lord for giving us good health, keeping us safe, and giving us time and means to make this trip happen.
All thumbs up to Anantara Mai Khao Beach Club Phuket! Till next time!
