At this time, Miakka shows independence and is not very handful anymore, well, fingers-crossed. I remember my local colleague who runs a daycare center here in Singapore once told me to get ready when they reach the age of 2. They'll become terrible. I wonder what does "terrible twos" mean.
How do you define "Terrible Twos? Is there such a term? or is it just the other way around to call "Terrible Tantrums"?
hmmm, here are some of the things I noticed from Miakka lately:
-does it mean having to throw things when she doesn't get her way?
-does it mean crying when she's sleepless?
-does it mean rolling all over the floor whenever she's upset?
-does it mean having short attention span on almost anything even her favorite books and toys?
-does it mean she's becoming too clingy?
-does it mean she will become a more picky eater?
As a first time mom, I am clueless, really. So I buy What to Expect books, read the baby centre online, ask other moms, specially those mommy colleagues, even to our helper Manang. And somehow, I get the answers to my queries too. Some has stories to attest how terrible their daughter have become, some are just advising me to relax and don't bother too much, because they say its just normal and part of their growing up stage.
It was just past weekend when she celebrated her 2nd birthday and i am feeling a little bit anxious now of how my daughter will become, I guess, I just have to trust myself on my parenting skills, (*wink*wink*) put a little effort too, embrace my stress relievers ( like blogging, or shopping? ehem) and know that, I've got Bryan (Miakka's very hands on dad) on my back too!. Im pretty sure God will be there on our daily grind raising this cheeky 2 year old toddler.
